• Vice President Kamala Harris condemned the sentencing of WNBA star Brittney Griner to nine years in prison on smuggling charges on Thursday
• Some on Twitter were quick to point out that as District Attorney, she prosecuted thousands of marijuana possession cases at a rate higher than her predecessor 
• Griner, 31, had claimed in Russian court that it was a mistake she brought a marijuana pen into the country
